Brigadier Gold Limited (Brigadier) has recently changed the focus of its exploration activities to Mexico. Brigadier has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the Cuatro Cinegas Project from Santa Fe Metals Inc.
The Cuatro Ciénegas Property is situated in the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza (Coahuila), Mexico, and is centered on approximately 26.6393°N, -102.1058°W. It is located approximately 40 km southwest of the town of Cuatro Ciénegas. Cuatro Ciénegas is 272 km by road from the State capital, Saltillo, or alternatively, 248 km by road from Torreón.
The Property is comprised of 6 mining concessions that total 3,406 ha, namely Don Indio, Adriana, Adriana 2, Granizo, El Granizo 1 and El Granizo 3. These concessions make up 3 separate claim blocks, namely Don Indio, Adriana and Granizo. Brigadier has 100% interest in the Property, subject to payments outlined in the Letter of Agreement signed with Santa Fe Metals Corp. on September 11, 2013.
Brigadier Gold has also signed a Letter of Intent with the shareholders of Mexican Copper Mines (Guernsey) that sets out the terms and conditions with which Brigadier will acquire 70% of the outstanding shares of Mexican Cipper Mines which owns through its subsidiary Molycomex S. A. de C. V. an undivided right, title and interest in 5 additional Cuatro Ciénegas District mineral properties in Mexico through the subsidiary Molycomex S.A. de C.V.
This proposed transaction, if approved, would constitute a Reverse Take Over and so is currently awaiting Stock Exchange as well as shareholder approval.
With modern exploration and mining techniques, Brigadier is targeting the development of a near term, low cost copper producing project.
